Dyan Castillejo started out as a student-athlete, representing the nation in international sports competitions. Today she is a celebrated sportscaster and show host.

Her hard work, excellence, and faith in God propelled her to where she is today. “Go with God and do your best,” she shares. She’s not done with her dreams yet, not by a long shot – but she knows that with her dedication and with her faith, she can do anything.

Dyan Castillejo has been representing the Philippines in sports since she was thirteen. As a tennis player, she was touring the Junior and Women’s pro circuit, playing for the Philippine SEA Games. She took a college tennis scholarship in the United States and played professionally, touring until she was twenty-six. After her tennis career, she shifted her sights unto broadcast journalism. Today, she serves as ABS-CBN’s sports anchor and correspondent. She even has her own sports fitness inspirational show, where she and her team highlight the inspirational stories of athletes and how their careers have helped them and their families.

Dyan has always been a strong advocate for working hard and doing everything it takes to reach the goals you’ve set for yourself. This shows in the way she acted upon her dreams of getting into Women’s Professional rankings and getting into Wimbledon – she steadfastly trained and built connections with people. Now, she’s got a different dream. “I want to leave the message that women should strive to do what they can to be stronger than they are. To push and try to develop themselves to the point that they don’t think they can reach, and to pursue things they think they may not be able to.” She wants to inspire strength in women, just as she found strength in herself. She also wants to lead by example for her son, Matthew, and for all mothers. “All things are possible, but you have to put in the time and you have to be dedicated.”

Her faith in God helped her succeed in life and exceed her own expectations. She’s been committed to God since she was very young and that her faith has helped her move mountains. “Go with God and do your best,” she says earnestly. She’s not done with her dreams yet, not by a long shot – but she knows that with her dedication and with her faith, she can do anything.
